Assignments: Intorduction to grammatical syntax and diction. Work in groups to find examples form the book of each type of grammatical syntax and diction.

Bell Work: Write a sample sentence for each type of grammatical syntax.
Assignments: Turn in memoir projects. Read "The Lottery" and discuss allusion and symbolism. Discuss the homework assignment.
Homework: Go online and find the story of a holocaust survivor. Print it, annotate it and create a MLA citation. Get to know your survivor very well!
